The Cabrillo College and UCSC Student Housing Project, which will be named Costa Vista, is historic, as the first California Community College and University of California (UC) student housing collaboration to be located on a community college campus. The 257,000 square-foot, 624-bed project will span three buildings, with 60% of the beds designated for Cabrillo College students and 40% of the beds designated for UCSC students. The Costa Vista Housing Project will include single occupancy, double occupancy, and family units, and will also feature a child care center for its residents. By state statute, rents for all units will be affordable.
