Laz Meiman

Laz Meiman is a fourth-year UCSC student, and is dedicated to the cause of housing affordability. Raised in Los Angeles, Laz understands firsthand the struggles that many Californians face in finding a place to live. This led him to place housing at the forefront of his activism, and he was one of the founding members of the UCSC Student Housing Coalition, cosponsoring SB 886 (Wiener) to ensure more students could find homes on campus. Laz has also served as the president of the UCSC College Democrats and has worked on several state and local campaigns in Los Angeles. He is looking forward to working with Housing Santa Cruz County, furthering the fight to make Santa Cruz a more affordable city for all.
